Sambisari Temple In Yogyakarta


        Sambisari temple is located in Sambisari, Purwomartani, Kalasan, Sleman, Yogyakarta, about twelve kilometers east of yogyakarta near Adisucipto International Airport.

Sambisari temple consists of four building; one main building and three small building known as perwara temple. The main temple is unique since it does not have basement like another temples in java.

Morangan Temple In Yogyakarta



         One Of the ancient Hindu Temples in Yogyakarta is Morangan temple. This temple is located in Morangan, Sindumartani, Ngemplak, Sleman, Yogyakarta. It very close to Kali Gendol and Mount Merapi. Morangan temple was built in 9 th. The temple was buried about 6.5 meters below ground when it was found in 1982.
          This Temple is unique because the main building is located in the basin of the ground filled the water. It looks like being in the middle of the pond. In the Complex of Morangan temple there's also found yoni, sage satues, and a number of other satues in the temple niches. The main temple is facing west while the ancillary temples facing east. The temple is consist legs, body, and the roof of the temple. It represents the three realms of the bhurioka, bhuwarioka, and swarioka.
